It’s an exciting time for the City of Hartford!  With the Downtown Revitalization project well underway, our lively community anticipates growth and rejuvinization of our downtown, which in turn, impacts every aspect of beautiful, historic Hartford, WI.

On Thursday, September 28, Greta Swiggert, executive director of the Downtown Hartford BID welcomed members of the Downtown Project Management Team to the BID meeting held at the Schauer Center.

Significant work is underway!  An extensive presentation on the status and updates of the ongoing Downtown Revitalization project was presented by Tom Hostad  (Hartford Area Development Corporation), Jorian Giorno (Vandewalle & Associates) which reviewed the Downtown Strategic Development Plan background, plan progress, updates and the next steps.

Justin Drew, City of Hartford went on to outline the status of the City-wide development, TIF review, with addition discussion of the Facade Improvement Program.

Following the presentation, Greta and Gerry Schnorenberg gave a report on current renovations in Downtown Hartford, business opening and interest.  The meeting concluded with group discussion, encouraging participation from local business owners on their read of the business climate, its successes and improvements to be considered.
