The HADC, Hartford Chamber and Hartford Union High School will jointly host a listening session on Tuesday, August 22 at the Jack Russell Memorial Library from 4-6 PM with individuals who are 18-34 years old and work in Hartford. The objective is to get their perspective on what they like about the community, what would they liked to see changed or added, do they live here and why and if they don’t live here, why not. This demographic is the current and future workforce for our local employers and we need to understand what attracts them to a company and a community and what we can do to increase our chances of retaining them. We are expecting 20-25 participants.
Assisting us in the session will be key staff from Newaukee, a social architecture firm that specializes in talent attraction and retention through place-based engagement strategies. Findings and recommendations from this session will be posted as they become available.
