It could be defined as the ultimate business success story.
In 1995 Key Logo opened its doors within the original Hartford Area Development Corp’s business incubation building. December of 2008, they purchased it, but the HADC office still maintained its office of operation within the facility. Key Logo has continued to expand. Their need for additional space along with ongoing collaborative efforts within Hartford’s business leadership organizations, prompted the decision for the HADC to share office space with the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce. They moved to the new location in November.
“It just makes sense.” said Hartford Chamber Executive Director, Scott Henke. Tom Hostad and Scott have met frequently throughout the past few years with the City of Hartford and Hartford Business Improvement District, as the Downtown Revitalization Project moved forward following a feasibility study early in 2015.
For Tom and Scott, collaboration is often on a daily basis. Sharing this space is a win-win, helping facilitate efforts which enhance economic development, business attraction and retention to make the entire Hartford community thrive.
Joint efforts of all the above organizations started years ago with previous leadership, but since 2015, the collaborative effort has been taking shape, as evidenced in considerable growth and development, perhaps most notably, the addition of a 60-room hotel, the Cobblestone Inn & Suites.
Downtown Hartford is definitely taking shape and growing. This year, Hartford’s Annual Midnight Madness had record-breaking crowds. New businesses are opening and the general excitement that comes with prosperous growth is evident.
