Harthaven

Harthaven is now accepting applications. For more information call 262-670-9450 or TDD 262-673-8224.

Harthaven consists of 62 1-bedroom units in a 3-story apartment building for seniors 62 years old or older. Heat, electricity, water/sewer, and all appliances are included in the rent. Rent is based upon income in 45 units. The remaining 17 units have a lower than market rent. Other restrictions may apply.

There are onsite amenities that include:

  • 2 community rooms
  • Beautiful grounds
  • Elevator
  • Emergency pull cord system
  • Laundry facilities
  • Off-street parking

Each tenant is allowed 1 pet.

Economic Development Loan Program

Funds were awarded to the City of Hartford on a competitive basis from the State of Wisconsin for business start-up and/or expansion. Job creation or retention within the City of Hartford is required as a condition of the loan. Loan and security agreements are executed prior to disbursal of funds to the borrower. Housing Rehab Loan Program

The Housing Rehab Loan Program provides low interest or 0% interest deferred loans to home owners and/or Landlords. Occupants' income must be at or below 80% of the County Median Income. Other restrictions may apply.

Rehab work includes, but is not limited to:

  • Furnace
  • Insulating
  • Painting/siding
  • Roofs
  • Water heaters
  • Window replacement

The property to be rehabbed must be located in the City of Hartford or an annexation covenant recorded.

Home Purchase Assistance
