Assistance
The Hartford Area Development Corporation (HADC) has a longstanding commitment to being a catalyst for economic development and growth in the Hartford area. Our organization was formed in 1977 in cooperation with the City of Hartford who wanted to create a non-political entity to spur industrial and economic growth in the community.
Over the years it is estimated that the HADC in cooperation with City staff and other elected officials has recruited new businesses and supported the growth of existing businesses that resulted in the creation of thousands of jobs and more than 5.6 million square feet of new manufacturing space. This partnership has worked effectively to provide a strong economic base for the residents of Hartford and of Washington County.
Loans
The HADC can connect companies who want to locate in Hartford and those who are already here and want to expand with a variety of loan/financing options that are local, county and state funded. We can assist you in finding the “right fit”.
Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) Assistance
The HADC has collaborated with the City of Hartford to create Tax Incremental Financing districts to support development both in the community and the industrial parks. The City of Hartford has a proven track record of supporting business growth.
Site Selection
The HADC can assist you in finding the right site for your business. We have invested in buildable land in and around our industrial parks and can tailor a solution to meet your needs. This includes bringing utility connections to the site. Your only cost is connecting the utility lines to your building.
